What do we do?
Cloister Records provide a complete, simple, all-in-one package. We record, edit and master the CD, design the graphic layout for the CD cover, inlay and onbody print, apply for MCPS licensing and deal with the factory for manufacture and printing.
What do you need to do?
Once the recording is booked the ensemble needs to provide a suitable recording environment. Recordings usually take place over 2-4 consecutive evenings.
Sessions are of 3 hours duration. The ensemble also needs to provide an image on which the artwork will be based (this can include photographs, slides, etchings, drawings and paintings in hardcopy or electronic format) and also programme notes for the insert.
Delivery of the CDs is usually within 2-3 months after the recording.
